L'école de baguage d'oiseaux possède deux sites, l'un au Sahel et l'autre en Afrique tropicale :

Notre école de baguage d'oiseaux d'Afrique de l'Ouest

Grâce à un programme mené en partenariat avec la Direction des Parcs Nationaux du Sénégal et avec la participation du Parc National des Oiseaux du Djoudj, la Station Ornithologique du Delta du Sénégal propose depuis 2025 des formations aux ornithologues africains et européens désireux d'apprendre les techniques de baguage des oiseaux, de mener des études ornithologiques en main ou d'approfondir leurs connaissances et leur expérience. L'école est ouverte tous les mois d'août à mars. De même, l'école a ouvert son deuxième site en 2026, au cœur du golfe de Guinée, au Bénin. Elle y a déjà dispensé ses premiers cours et restera ouverte d'août à mars à partir de 2027.

À l’école, vous apprendrez non seulement à baguer les oiseaux, mais aussi à prélever des échantillons et à réaliser toutes sortes d’études non invasives. Les vétérinaires et les secouristes apprendront à les manipuler correctement. Vous pourrez également y réaliser vos projets de fin d’études ou vos stages universitaires.

At the school, you’ll learn not only how to ring birds, but also how to take samples and perform all kinds of non-invasive studies on birds. Veterinarians and rescuers will learn how to handle them correctly. You’ll also be able to complete your degree projects or university internships.
