Ringing Camps and Courses in Africa
Camps et cours de baguage en Afrique
We want to present to you, well in advance, the program of courses, camps, and other field events in which you can participate. As international experts, as students in training, or as assistants. We’re all needed.
We invite all course and camp organizers in Africa to send us their proposals, dates, and all necessary details.
Nous souhaitons vous présenter, bien à l’avance, le programme des cours, camps et autres événements sur le terrain auxquels vous pourrez participer. En tant qu’experts internationaux, en tant qu’étudiants en formation ou en tant qu’assistants. Nous sommes tous nécessaires.
Nous invitons tous les organisateurs de cours et de camps en Afrique à nous envoyer leurs propositions, dates et tous les détails nécessaires.
En mai 2024, le premier camp de baguage scientifique d’oiseaux a eu lieu en Côte d’Ivoire, promu par la Société Ivoirienne d’Ornithologie nouvellement créée et avec le soutien total d’OrnithoShool.
In May 2024, the first scientific bird ringing camp took place in Ivory Coast, promoted by the newly created Ivorian Ornithological Society and with the full support of OrnithoShool.
En janvier 2025, le programme de Master en Ornithologie de l’Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis au Sénégal a intégré un atelier de quatre jours sur le baguage et la migration des oiseaux. Des étudiants de neuf pays ont participé.
In January 2025, the Master’s in Ornithology at the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis in Senegal added a four-day workshop on bird ringing and migration. Students from nine countries participated.
