Ponemos a vuestra disposición un abanico de Bird Observatories distribuidos por México, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú y Brasil. Una propuesta de forjar estaciones permanentes de anillamiento de aves. Ubicadas en lugares de altísima importancia migratoria pero también de la máxima diversidad ornítica, como la reserva de la biosfera del Manu en Perú, con 1047 especies de aves, o las establecidas en Colombia, el país del mundo con mayor diversidad de aves. En el Chocó colombiano se estiman 1546 especies, situándola como probablemente la bioregión del mundo con más especies de aves. Las estaciones de Ecuador, el país con mayor diversidad por superficie o los estratégicos manglares de Yucatán, donde pasamos de la selva a los humedales y todo el flujo de migradores boreales.

We put at your disposal a range of Bird Observatories distributed throughout Yucatan, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. A humble proposal to forge permanent bird ringing stations. Located in places of high migratory importance but also of maximum ornithic diversity, such as the Manu biosphere reserve in Peru, with 1047 species of birds, or those established in Colombia, the country in the world with the greatest diversity of birds. In the Colombian Chocó there are an estimated 1,546 species, placing it as probably the bioregion in the world with the most bird species. The stations of Ecuador, the country with the greatest diversity by area, or the strategic mangroves of Yucatan, where we go from the jungle to the wetlands and the entire flow of boreal migrators.

Somos estaciones ornitológicas del Neotrópico y el África tropical. En los países, lugares o biorregiones con mayor diversidad de aves del planeta. Anillamos todo el año y en lugares donde con frecuencia nunca antes se había investigado con este o ningún método. Establecemos estaciones de esfuerzo constante, en las cuales incluimos marcaje satelital, campañas de polluelos de flamencos, pelícanos, grullas, garzas o larolimícolas y otras acciones a largo plazo. También con nuestros conocimientos y equipos vamos a ayudar a colegas de Asia que inician singladuras similares.
We are ornithological stations in the Neotropics and tropical Africa, in the countries, locations, and bioregions with the greatest bird diversity on the planet. We band birds year-round, often in places where this or any other method has never been used before. We establish continuous effort stations, which include satellite tagging, chick surveys of flamingos, pelicans, cranes, herons, and waders, and other long-term projects. We also use our knowledge and equipment to assist colleagues in Asia who are embarking on similar expeditions.
Som estacions ornitològiques del Neotròpic i l’Àfrica tropical. Als països, llocs o bioregions amb més diversitat d’aus del planeta. Anellem tot l’any i en llocs on sovint mai abans s’havia investigat amb aquest o cap mètode. Establim estacions d’esforç constant, en les quals incloem marcatge satelital, campanyes de pollets de flamencs, pelicans, grues, agrons o larolimícoles i altres accions a llarg termini.També amb els nostres coneixements i equips ajudarem a col·legues d’Àsia que inicien singladures similars.
